How to show I'm proud to live in Texas
Every person has a different way of showing how proud they are to live where they are, but it's probably not as demonstrative as it is in Texas. The old saying that "Everything is bigger in Texas" is certainly true when it comes to showing good old fashioned State of Texas Texan pride.
Every state has it's things to be proud of, and here are just a few of things that make a Texan proud to be Texan.
- Huge forests of Piney Woods like the Davy Crockett National Forest.
- Breathtaking mountains in Big Bend.
- Shiny skyscrapers in Houston and Dallas.
- World record bass from places like Lake Fork.
- Mexican food like nowhere in the world, even Mexico.
- Texas is larger-than-life legends like Willie Nelson, Buddy Holly, Earl Campbell, Nolan Ryan, Denton Cooley, Michael DeBakey, Lyndon Johnson, George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush.
- Huge herds of cattle and miles of crops.
- The Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans NFL football teams
- The Dallas Stars NHL hockey team
- The Dallas Mavericks NBA team
- The Texas Rangers MLB baseball team

- Texas is skies blackened with doves and leases full of deer.
- Texas is the best bar-b-que (BBQ) anywhere.
- Texas is a place where cities shut down for the Cowboys on Monday Night Football and many streets a deserted during church.
- Texas is beaches, deserts, lakes and rivers, mountains and prairies.
